I'm sure this will ruin my indie cred with anyone who reads this -- not that I have any indie cred, or would give a shit about it if I did -- but I just now gave The Arcade Fire a listen.

Hot damn.

Think Amelie soundtrack on crack, plus Sigur Rossy epic pacing. Now I'm thinking I need to spend all of that extra cash on much-recommended indie records and find out what I've been missing. Maybe I'll get an indie makeover, too -- some tight jeans, button down shirts, a weird little short haircut and a strict coffee-only diet.

Hah, just kidding! I'm far too skinny and snobby to be an indie kid. Um.

But really, even if you don't think you'd like indie music (I didn't think I would), give Arcade Fire a try.
