Definitely skipped poli-sci discussion today. Definitely can't do that anymore.

Had a good time last night, went to Blue Sky and Tasty World with Robby and Amy. Had to go home early because neither Robby nor Amy had foresight to take advantage of abundant caffeine at Blue Sky and got sleepy halfway through second band's set at Tasty World.

The first band, Charm Your Darlings, had a cool name but was kind of forgettable. Perfectly listenable, despite a rather awkward sound balance. The second band, Propeller, was much quirkier and quite fun to listen to, but could have benefitted from more rehearsals. The drummer had trouble keeping the beat from time to time.

It became obvious why the sound for the first band was so bad when the poor Prop guitarist tried to get the attention of the oblivious sound guy to make an adjustment. Even when he finally realized someone was talking to him, he just kind of stared stupidly (drunkenly?) at the stage. In the end, the band's bassist had to jump off the stage, elbow through the crowd to the booth, and fix it himself.

I had a lot of fun, I've skipped political science, Sara's visiting this weekend; things are looking up.

Since I've only found one other post dealing with politics, I may as well go there. Is anyone else insanely pleased to find out that Dean lost the caucus? Barring my foot meeting his annoying smirky face, I think losing is the best thing that can happen to the Dean campaign.

I know the Democratic primary is just the post-mortem twitching of a decaying party, and that it'll have absolutely no effect on Bush's reelection in November, but watching that smirky windbag take a beating -- from Kerry of all people -- has got to be the most satisfying political event of the new millenium.

And just to put the icing on the cake, Dean's pitiful loss made for some of the funniest TV material I've ever seen, on the Daily Show and Conan O'Brien. If you didn't see last night's epsiodes of both those shows...shame on you.

Caroline posted on her blog and she really appreciated everyone's sentiment. Things went pretty well, I suppose, all things considered.

On a lighter note, look what I did tonight.
